February Luau

Nathan attended a classmate's birthday party this weekend. He is wearing a white shirt and standing up in the back. (Yes, while the other children are sitting and paying attention to the clown. Once I caught his eye, he sat down immediately though. I think I have mastered "the look.")

Nathan had a great time, and I enjoyed watching him interact with his friends. He has some really nice classmates, and it has been fun seeing them grow up together.

Of all the party activities, Nathan liked playing musical chairs the most. (Clearly it was not the clown.) When the game stopped, Nathan said he wanted to play more, and one of the other moms said that maybe he could play it at home with him parents and sister. He responded, "We don't have enough chairs." The mom smiled at me and said, "Kids say the funniest things." Out of respect for Nathan, I had to explain, "Actually, he's right. Maya likes to climb on chairs but then she falls over. We've put away most of our chairs." The other moms laughed, but we will probably be thought of as the family without chairs.
