Uncle John's Visit

John dropped by for a brief visit on his way to Providence. We went to the Eric Carle Museum in the Hadley-Amherst area. In the Art Studio, Nathan enjoyed painting with watercolors, and Maya liked splashing the water. It was nice for Nathan to see Uncle John again and for Maya to meet him.

Nathan creates with his face too. Nathan and Uncle John exchanged artworks later.

Daddy's girl. Maya likes the girls' bathroom at the museum because the walls are tiled with Eric Carle's animal artwork. Her favorite animal seems to the purple cat, but the other colorful animals are also fun. We went to dinner at the Northampton Brewery, and Maya enjoyed the Matisse-like paintings in their ladies' restroom too.

Nathan likes all VW bugs, but the museum's caterpillar car is especially cool!
