Mid-March Nor'easter

Our March snowstorm was very icy. Peter said that this round was the heaviest to shovel. As you can see, he was out there for quite some time.

But there are some benefits to a snowstorm as well. Peter and Nathan went sledding in the backyard. Maya likes the snow but refuses to wear her snowboots. She accepts that she cannot play in the snow without them, definitely a beach bunny rather than a snow bunny. Peter took her sledding a couple of times, but she was not fond of it. She told me, "Wheee! Wheee!" It sounded very exciting but not enough to entice this California girl outdoors.

They both love Cars. Peter runs the movie in limited clips when they want to watch it, and even with the brief viewings, we have seen the movie dozens of times. Maya might like it even more than Nathan because of the soundtrack.

We returned to the Eric Carle Museum for more indoor play (in a setting other than home).
