Nathan is Five!

We brought cupcakes and treat bags to Nathan's school to celebrate this special day with his friends.

Auntie Sharon flew out on red-eye to New York and then drove about 2.5 hours to see Nathan on his birthday. What a great present! Nathan wanted to go to Mystic Aquarium for his birthday. The weather was perfect, sunny and mild in the low 70s, a rare treat we have not had in many months. Nathan remarked, "I think God gave this weather for my birthday present."

The children usually have an exciting time at the aquarium, and Peter loves it too. We will probably use Nana and Grandpa's generous birthday gift to purchase a membership since the aquarium is fun year-round. Nathan said that he liked the sea lions best during this visit, and Maya was fixated on the beluga whales. She even gave up snacks and asked her auntie for extra visits to the whales instead.
