Snow Day

First snow storm of the season. After four hours, we have at least six inches. Nathan and Maya are so excited about playing in the snow.

We are far less thrilled with the weather which causes a traffic mess. My plan to run errands this morning changed as soon as we saw the traffic. We just endured a 30-minute drive in search of a back route home to avoid traffic on the main roads. This is a photo of Peter emerging from his car after about three hours in gridlock. Amazingly, he has the energy to go out and do a preliminary shoveling. His two little helpers are enthusiastically volunteering to shovel too. Maya says that her shovel has glitter on it; I think she means her hula hoop.
