May Days
I read a blog post for making pretty twirling wands, and my quick and easy version took less than ten minutes (and that included finding sticks and streamers and heating up a glue gun). Nathan and Maya had a great time playing with them on a breezy spring afternoon...until these lovely wands became swords.
Generous aunties Katie, Amy, and Becky extended birthday joy into May. So many wonderful treats, including a fancy boa and a purse full of little ponies and...

a super big box of crayons for Nathan who was delighted. (We have had boxes of 24 crayons until now.) Imagine what they will create with all those colors!

A tag sale at Katie and Amy's. We put out a couple of items and earned six dollars which we promptly spent on lunch. In the background Amy and Karen are trying to put together Mara's glow-in-the-dark sphere while Nathan and Tamzin are keeping an eye out for prospective buyers. Maya is helping Aunt Katie keep tabs on the sales by scribbling m's and a's in the notebook.
