Truly, life the way it should be (as the state signs say)

We spent a gorgeous weekend in Maine, playing on the beach and at the hotel pool, thanks to my parents' generous birthday gift.

The non-schedule: breakfast, swimming in outdoor pool (eek! a little brisk), lunch, nap, playing on the beach, dinner, and swimming in the indoor pool.

Our meals were casual, usually light fare from the market, and these were followed by time in the water. I sat outdoors to write while everyone else took afternoon naps. Is there any better way to work and play? We wanted to stay and stay....
